Came home from Copper Harbor and wanted to do more biking. I have been looking for an easy single track to get my wife into biking. We stumbled upon
Hartman’s Creek State Park in Waupaca, Wi. I took her on the easy section which is under 3.5 miles. From the baseball diamond you head back about a 1/2 mile to the trails which is an easy warm up and cool down after. The easy trail has very few root and rocks so great for beginners.
After that we headed to
Bear Lake Campground and picked up some Cedar Creek ice cream. We had a desire for some good coffee so we headed into town. Waupaca has three coffee house which we only found after asking at Kwick Trip. All are off Main Street. The only one open at 6 was Little Fat Gretchen’s and damn was it good.
Both Ashley and I thought it was a great little dinner with classic charm.
